- 01
PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F.
Peel, core and finely chop the apples, then transfer into a bowl.

- 02
Add one tablespoon of sugar, mix to combine, and set aside.

- 03
Measure out the flour into a dry bowl.

- 04
Add the baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg. Whisk to combine and set aside.

- 05
Put the butter in another bowl.

- 06
Add the sugar. I used half white sugar and half brown sugar. Mix until it's light and creamy.

- 07
Add the eggs one at a time and mix until combine.

- 08
Gradually add the flour in 3 additions.

- 09
Add the milk in 2 additions, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until it's just combined, do not over mix.

- 10
Fold in the apples, leaving some as topping.

- 11
Divide batter among paper liners filling all the way to the top.

- 12
Top with chopped apples. Optional - Sprinkle the tops with some cinnamon sugar together with the chopped apples for some added crunch
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

- 13
Remove from the oven and allow it cool in the pan for 5 minutes before cooling completely.

Enjoy!
