Information we collect

You can read every recipe on this site without giving us anything. We only receive personal information when you choose to hand it over — for example by sending a message through the contact form or subscribing to the mailing list.

• Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message, used solely to reply to you.
• Newsletter: your email address, used to send recipe updates until you unsubscribe.
• Automatically: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and pages viewed.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses them to support advertising (Google AdSense) and analytics (Google Analytics), and to remember your preferences.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you reading recipes, though some features may behave differently.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads alongside the recipes.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which recipes are read, how visitors arrive, and how the site performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes information such as your IP address, device and browser, and the pages you view. We use it in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify you personally.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your activity by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

We also use a privacy-conscious first-party analytics tool that records aggregate page performance and traffic without building profiles of individual visitors.

Embedded content

Recipe pages embed videos from YouTube. Those players are only loaded once you click play, so YouTube does not receive a request from your browser until you choose to watch. When you do, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that interaction.

How we use your information

• To reply to enquiries, collaboration requests and recipe questions.
• To send newsletters you have specifically asked for.
• To keep the site secure, working and improving.
• To measure and display advertising.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers that make the site work — our hosting provider, email delivery service, and Google for advertising (AdSense) and analytics (Google Analytics) — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service, or where the law requires disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link in every message.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
